A maintenance plan is regular work on an item or a place, such as an extinguisher check or a gutter clearance. Coordinators, Facilities Managers and administrators work with plans; auditors can read them.
The plans
Plans lists every plan, soonest due first. Each shows what it Covers, How often, Next due, its Last occurrence and any Open job. Narrow the list with Search, Category (trade) and Due: Overdue, Due in 7 days, Later, With missed occurrences or Paused.
Open a plan to see all its occurrences, its category, its policy version and anything it Needs, such as a Training requirement.
Plans needing attention on Home lists the plans that are overdue or have missed occurrences.
Generate the work
Choose Generate the work falling due on Plans, or Generate this plan's work on one plan. Each occurrence that falls due within the plan's lead time becomes one job:
- already approved, because the plan is its approval;
- assigned to the plan's technician, if it names one (Goes to).
Generating again never makes a second job for the same occurrence.
Missed occurrences
An occurrence already past when the work is generated is recorded as missed. It stays visible and is never marked done. To do it anyway, open the plan and choose Raise it late. It stays marked late.
When the next due date moves
The next due date moves on only when an occurrence's job is verified. A missed or unfinished occurrence keeps it where it is.
Frequencies are your organisation's
No legal interval is built in. Each plan's frequency and policy version are set by your organisation. In the sandbox they are demonstration values.
