Your loans, hires and bookings, and returning an item

See what is with you, confirm a loan, give back a hire and cancel a booking.

Updated 31 October 2026

Home shows everything that is with you, and what you have booked.

With you

Each row says how you have it: Hired, or Issued to you by a site operator. It also shows when it is Due back, and whether it is with you, overdue or still waiting for approval.

  • I have it: when a site operator issues you an item, choose this to confirm you have received it.
  • Return it: give back an item you hired (see below).
  • Withdraw: take back a hire request that is still waiting for approval.

An item issued to you is given back to a site operator, who takes it back in Asset Management. You cannot return a loan yourself.

Return a hired item

  1. Choose Return it on Home, or scan the item's label and choose Return it.
  2. Where it is now starts as the item's home. Type to choose another place if you left it somewhere else.
  3. Choose Its condition: New, Good, Fair, Poor or Damaged: needs looking at.
  4. Optionally, add Photos (optional, up to 6), as JPEG or PNG. Photograph the item only, no people.
  5. Choose Return it.

The copy of a photo that other people see has its location and camera details removed.

Your bookings

Your bookings lists the times you have booked items for. Choose Cancel to give up a booking.

Overdue items

When an item you hold goes past its due time, the bell tells you once, and the site operators are told too. Bring it back, or speak to a site operator.
