Connect your own system in place of an application

For administrators: choose which applications your organisation uses, and connect your own system for the others.

Updated 31 October 2026

If your organisation keeps some records in its own system, a connector can stand in for that Core application. Your system then receives what the application would, and sends what it would send, by webhook, by API or as CSV files.

The Connections tab is for your organisation's administrators. In the sandbox, the demo supervisor has it.

Choose how each application is used

Each application is a card. Under Use, choose:

  • In use: the Core application;
  • In use, and copied to your own system;
  • Connected to your own system;
  • Not used.

Then choose Save.

Connected: the three ways

The card shows how many records are waiting for your system.

API. Choose Make an API token. Copy it straight away: it is not shown again. Replace the API token makes a new one.

Webhook.

  • In the sandbox, choose Send to the test receiver. It checks the signature as your system would, and shows what arrived.
  • On the live site, enter Your https address and choose Save. Copy the signing secret when it is shown; it is shown once.
  • On the live site, deliveries only go to the hosts under Webhook hosts.

CSV files.

  • To collect records, choose Download for each contract. When your system has taken the file in, choose Mark these as collected.
  • To send records in, choose the contract and the file, then Check. Choose Send when every row passes. Nothing is sent unless every row passes.
