Link a project to its delivery work in Projects

Show the delivery work's progress and risks on the board's project page.

Updated 31 October 2026

The tasks and risks of the delivery work live in Projects. Linking a project here to its node in Projects (a project, programme or workstream) puts a Delivery card on its page.

  1. Open the project's page. If you can change it, the Delivery card says Not linked yet.
  2. Choose Link to Projects.
  3. In Projects node, type part of the node's name and choose it.
  4. Choose Link.

Unlink removes the link. Open Projects goes to Projects.

What the card shows

Read from Projects as you, when the page opens, and labelled with the time:

  • how many of the node's tasks are done, and how many are overdue;
  • Next due: the next task and its date;
  • any Flow runs linked to the node, and how far through they are;
  • Risks at or above the project's threshold.

You see only what Projects shows you. If you have no role there for that node, the card says so instead. Project Tracker stores nothing of Projects'.

The risk escalation threshold

Each project has a Risk escalation threshold (in Linked delivery work, on its edit page), from 1 to 9. If it is left empty it is 6. Set it to the project's risk appetite.

Each delivery risk scoring at or above it is marked in the register, waiting for a decision, or offers Propose for the register.

Propose a risk for the register

  1. Choose Propose for the register.
  2. The dialog asks only what the register still needs, such as an owner or a fuller mitigation. Severity follows from the score: 6 to 9 is High, 3 to 4 Medium, 1 to 2 Low.
  3. Choose Add to the register.

The risk joins the drafts with Raised in set to the Projects risk it came from, and reaches the board when published.

Follow a task for a milestone

Under Milestones followed in Projects, choose Follow a task beside a milestone, choose the task that delivers it, and choose Follow. When that task's date moves or it is done, the tracker asks whether to take the change. Stop following ends it.
