Questions and answers
Why can't I change a project?
Board Members and Auditors read only. A Project Owner changes only the projects that carry their sign-in; any other project opens with You can read this project but not change it. Ask a Portfolio Editor to put your sign-in on the project if it should be yours.
I saved a change. Why isn't it on the board view?
Saved changes are drafts until they are published. Portfolio Editors and Administrators publish their own changes from the control page. Project Owners cannot publish: ask a Portfolio Editor. The bar above the tabs shows how many changes are unpublished.
Why does it say Commercial detail restricted?
Budgets and the funding route are hidden from Board Members and Auditors while a procurement is live, and from Project Owners on other people's projects. They are left out, not shown as £0, so totals such as the approved budget on Overview leave those projects out and say how many. Once an editor ticks Commercial detail open to the board, everyone sees them.
Can I attach a document to a project?
Not yet. Under Documents, list each one by its title and a short detail, such as its type, length and status, so the board knows it exists and where to ask for it.
What is the difference between Project Tracker and Projects?
Project Tracker is the board's view: phases, gates, decisions with their reasoning, open questions, the risk register and budgets, published when ready. Projects is where the delivery work is planned and run, task by task. Link the two and the delivery work's progress, risks and dates show on the project's Delivery card here.
Is the data in the sandbox real?
No. The sandbox's portfolio, people and projects are fictional, and they are reset every night. Try anything you like.
