Projects tells Project Tracker, through Core's event relay, when a risk in a linked node changes, or a task a milestone follows gets a new date or is done. The tracker keeps the latest word from each and works out the risk's score itself.
Nothing changes in the tracker by itself. The project's editors decide, and the board sees the result only after it is published.
Where it waits
On the project's Delivery card, under Waiting for a decision. Only the project's editors (its owner, and Portfolio Editors and Administrators) see it.
On the project's other tabs, and on Risks & Issues, a note says how many things wait for a decision, with Decide on the Delivery card. The bell tells you too: A delivery risk reaches a project's threshold and A linked milestone moves in the delivery work.
A risk at or above the threshold
Choose Accept into the register. The dialog asks only what the register still needs. Choose Add to the register.
A milestone's new date
- Take the new forecast. If the new date is later than the baseline, it asks Why it has moved. Choose Take the new forecast to confirm.
- If the task is done, choose Mark done.
Not for this register
Choose Dismiss and say in a few words Why it is not for this register. It is kept, with your reason, in the change log. It is raised again only if the risk's score rises further, or the delivery work says something new about the milestone.
Flagged risks
A risk already in the register that falls below the threshold, or is closed or deleted in Projects, is flagged on the card, for example now scores 4, below the threshold of 6. It is never removed for you: the board has seen it, so it stays in the register until its owner closes it.
