Find a project

Projects shows every project as a card with its status, phase, progress and headline figures. Narrow the list by:

  • Phase: Idea, Discovery, Business Case, Procurement, Delivery, Transition or Benefits.
  • Status: On track, At risk, Off track, Scoping or Discovery.

Or type in the search box beside the tabs. It looks through each project's own details and every record it holds, ignoring capitals, accents and punctuation, so wifi finds Wi-Fi. Each card then says Why it matched. Clear the search shows everything again.

A project's page

The top of the page shows the project's status, its phase (for example Phase 3 of 7), its reference and tags, up to five headline figures, and the seven phases with the current one marked.

TabWhat it shows
OverviewWhat the project is, why we are doing it, what is in scope, the latest decisions, the top risks, and its documents
Plan & GatesMilestones, baseline against forecast, and the stage-gate position
DecisionsThe project's decisions, newest first, with their reasoning
ConsiderationsIts open questions, with every option
Risks & IssuesIts risk register, its exposure, and its issues
BenefitsEach benefit, how it is measured, and its baseline, target and current figure
Stakeholders & CommsWho is affected and how they are engaged, and who decides
UpdatesDated progress updates, newest first

Beside the tabs:

  • Why this is marked at risk, on track and so on: written from the project's own records (its highest risks, open issues, slipped milestones and latest update), not typed in.
  • Commercials: the approved budget, spend, forecast, variance and funding route, if you may see them.
  • Next board ask.
  • Delivery, if the project is linked to its delivery work in Projects.

A flag such as No risks have been recorded against this project yet is deliberate: no risks recorded is not the same as no risks.

If you can change the project, the page also has Edit in admin, and + Add and Manage on each list.
