Find a place or an item and the work on it

Browse the estate, see what is closed for work, and find an item's history.

Updated 31 October 2026

Places shows Asset Management's places and items, read-only, with the work on them. It has two tabs: Places and Items.

Places

Places are shown as a tree in the estate's own levels: site, building, floor, room, or whatever levels the data has.

  • Choose the arrow beside a place to open or close it. A closed place says what is inside it: places, open jobs and rooms closed now.
  • Open everything and Close everything do the whole tree.
  • Narrow it down with Search (name or code), Kind, Site and Work (With open work or Closed for work). The places above each match stay open, so you can see where it is.
  • A place shows closed for work while it is closed, and its open jobs. At most three references show, then +N more.
  • N items on a place opens Items filtered to that place.

Items

Each item shows its kind, where it is the whole way down, its status and its open work. Filter by Search (tag, name or place), Kind, Place (and inside it), Status and Work.

If you see every job, items also show their jobs this year and the latest one, and you can change the Order to Most jobs this year or By place.

Log a job from here

If your access level logs jobs, choose Log a job on the row. The form opens with that place or item chosen.
