A review covers a period of your work, usually a year. It belongs to your employment, or to one of your roles, and the reviewer is normally that role's manager.
The steps
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Draft | The reviewer opens it and sends it to you |
| With the employee | You write your self-reflection |
| With the reviewer | The reviewer writes the review and shares it with you |
| Acknowledged | You have read it |
| Closed | The reviewer or HR closes it |
A review waiting for you appears under Reviews at your step in your Inbox, and the bell tells you.
Write your self-reflection
- Open the review.
- Under Self-reflection, write how the period went.
- Choose Submit to the reviewer.
Read and acknowledge it
When the reviewer shares the review, it appears under The review. Read it, then choose Acknowledge.
In a Major review, the reviewer also places you on the 9-box grid for performance and potential. You see where once the review is shared.
Only you, the reviewer, the role's manager and HR read what a review says. Nothing in it goes to Payroll or Training.
Your goals
Your manager sets your goals, usually in a review. Each one says which goal above it supports and how. It may have:
- KPIs: a figure to reach, such as a satisfaction score.
- CSFs: what must be true for the goal to succeed, marked Not started, On track, At risk or Met.
To record progress, open the goal and choose Record beside a KPI or Update beside a CSF. When you have finished a goal, choose Mark done beside it on the review.
A goal that needs learning shows learning: Training is told, and the courses Training arranges for it show under it on the review.
