Open a job description from the list. The page shows its published version:
- the details: Department, Role family, Grade or band, Location, Reports to and Salary band;
- Purpose of the role and Responsibilities;
- Skills and required levels: each skill set with its skills, and any Role-specific skills, each with the level the role needs and what that level means;
- Qualifications, split into Required and Preferred;
- Benefits, any extra sections, and Attachments to download.
The salary band is shown to everyone who can read the job description.
Beside it
- Versions: every version with its state. A link such as Compare with v1 shows what changed from the version before.
- If a new version is under way and you can see it: Continue editing, View this version or Open to decide, and What it changes.
- Contributors: the people who can edit its drafts, if you work on drafts.
- Actions, for the people who may: Start a new version, Archive and Audit trail.
What changed
The What changed page compares two versions. Choose From and To, then Compare. Added and removed words are marked, and each responsibility, skill set, skill, qualification, attachment and extra section is tagged Added, Removed or Changed.
Download or print
- Download PDF downloads it in its department's layout. If there is more than one layout, you can choose another in the list beside the button.
- Print prints the page.
Any version that is not the published one carries a watermark on its PDF, such as DRAFT or SUPERSEDED, so it is never mistaken for the agreed job description.
