Help · Job descriptions

JD Manager

Job descriptions built from a shared library of skills, skill sets and qualifications, with every version kept and nothing published until it has been reviewed and approved.

Questions and answers

Why can't I see a draft I know exists?

A draft is seen only by the person who started it, its named contributors, the approvers of its current stage, the people who decided its earlier stages, and HR administrators. A Viewer reads published job descriptions only. Ask the person who started it to name you under Contributors.

Can I approve a job description I submitted?

No. Every stage is decided by someone other than the person who submitted the version. An HR administrator who submitted it can still publish it once others have approved every stage.

Why does my PDF say DRAFT?

Only the published version's PDF is clean. A draft, a version in review, and an approved version not yet published say DRAFT; an older published version says SUPERSEDED, and a discarded one DISCARDED. This stops anyone mistaking it for the agreed job description.

Can I send a job description to a candidate, or get it in Word?

Not from JD Manager yet. Choose Download PDF and send it from your own email. There is no Word copy, JD Manager does not send email, and only signed-in people in your organisation can open it.

Is the data in the sandbox real?

No. The sandbox's people, departments, job descriptions and layouts are fictional, and they are reset every night. Try anything you like.
