A finalised run never changes. Corrections are new runs, called corrections, linked to the run they correct.
Correct paid time
- On Time, find the entry marked paid and choose Correct.
- In Correct paid time, enter the right Date, From and To, and Why.
- Choose Enter the correction. It is a new entry marked correction.
- Someone else approves it, as with any time.
- Open the original run and choose Correct this run. Say Why, then choose Start the correction.
- Calculate the correction. Each line is the difference from what was paid, linked to the original line. It can be more or less than before.
- Review, approve and finalise it as any run.
A run has one correction open at a time; finish it before starting another. A correction with nothing to correct is blocked.
Back pay
When HR agrees a rate from a date before a run was finalised, Home shows Back pay owed: the run, the people and the amount owed.
- A payroll preparer chooses Start an adjustment run. It pays the difference line by line, and the original run is not touched.
- Once started, Open the adjustment run takes you to it.
In the sandbox, back pay appears once the supervisor approves, in HR, the backdated rise waiting there for Sam.
On the payslip
The person receives a Correction statement for the correction, beside the week it corrects.
