Classification holds the lists editors choose from. A new workspace starts with four facets: Year, Purpose, Audience and Team. Year and Purpose are required before a code is published.
Values
For each facet:
- Add a value, with an optional Short code, then choose Add.
- Rename changes only a value's label.
- Deprecate hides a value from new choices without changing any code; Offer again brings it back.
- Merge… moves every code and campaign from one value to another. Choose the value in Merge into, type the number of codes it changes to confirm, and choose Merge. It cannot be undone.
Facets
Open the facet's own settings, such as Change Purpose itself. There you set:
- its Label, and Values per code: One or Several;
- Required before a code is published;
- Available for grouping in reports;
- Values add up to the total (only possible with one value per code).
Then choose its save button, such as Save Purpose. Retire this facet hides it from new classification; existing codes and reports keep it. Add a facet adds a new one.
Making a facet required never unpublishes anything. Live codes without it are counted on a button at the top of Classification, which opens Live codes to classify.
Free tags
Tags are off until you need them. Under Free tags, tick Editors can tag codes and set Tags per code, at most. Tags can be searched and filtered but are never reported on. Rarely used tags lists ones to tidy up: rename, merge or delete them.
Correct a past classification
Every report counts a visit against the classification in force at the time. If a past classification was wrong, open the code's Classification history and choose Correct on that row. Fill in the right values and Why was it wrong?, type the number of recorded visits it changes to confirm, and choose Correct this interval. This changes what past reports say.
