Questions and answers
Can I change a static code after it is printed?
No. A static code holds its content in the image itself. Change the content makes a new image, and copies already printed keep the old content. If a code may need to change, make it a Dynamic link.
Why does my code show no visits?
Static codes never show visits: scanning one never reaches the service. A draft's address does not work until it is published. Link previews, crawlers and your own Try the link are counted separately, not as eligible visits.
Is a visit the same as a scan, or a person?
No. A visit is a request to the code's address. Someone opening a shared link counts too, and repeats within a few seconds count once. Unique visitors are an estimate that cannot follow anyone from one day to the next.
Does ending a campaign stop its codes?
No. A campaign's dates and state are for planning and reports. To stop a code, pause it, give it a schedule, or archive it.
Can a code open a PDF or video I upload?
Not here: QR Code Manager does not host files. A dynamic code links to a page that already exists, so put the document or video on your website and link to it. The only upload is the organisation's logo.
Is the data in the sandbox real?
No. The sandbox's codes, campaigns and visits are fictional, and they are reset every night. Codes made there do not redirect: scanning one shows a page with its destination and Continue to this address.
