Courses and requirements

For training administrators: set up courses, decide what each role needs, and look ahead.

Updated 31 October 2026

Everyone can read Courses and requirements: Requirements by role, and Courses.

Add a course

Choose Add a course and fill in:

  • Title, Provider and Description.
  • Delivery: Sessions here, or Elsewhere, with evidence for courses taken with an outside provider.
  • Length (minutes).
  • Valid for (months, blank: no expiry).
  • Price of a place (optional): a request for a priced course needs the budget holder too.
  • Needs a pass and Needs verified evidence.

Choose Save. Change makes a new version of the course; credentials already issued keep theirs.

Add a requirement

Choose Add a requirement and fill in:

  • Role: type a few letters and choose. Roles come from HR.
  • Requirement: what it is called.
  • From, and Until (optional).
  • Mandatory (otherwise recommended). Only mandatory requirements decide whether someone is ready.
  • Met by a credential from: tick at least one course.

Choose Save. Readiness is worked out again for everyone with the role.

Evaluate readiness as of a date

To see what a later date brings, such as a credential expiring, enter the date and choose Evaluate. The result is stored and sent to HR and Payroll like any other. Back to today evaluates as of today again.
