Record learning done elsewhere

Record a course you took with an outside provider, so it can be checked and counted.

Updated 31 October 2026

Some courses are done elsewhere, such as first aid with an outside provider. You record the details here and a training administrator checks them.

  1. Open your learner page: Your credentials, places and evidence on Home.
  2. Choose Record learning done elsewhere.
  3. In Course it stands for, type a few letters and choose the course.
  4. Choose the Kind: Certificate, External course, Observation or Other.
  5. Fill in the Reference, for example a certificate number and where it is kept, and Completed on.
  6. Choose Record.

It waits to be verified. Until then, a requirement it would meet shows pending review rather than missing. Once verified, it becomes a credential.
