Reports, costs and budgets

Readiness, attendance and demand for everyone who reads reports; costs and budgets for the training lead.

Updated 31 October 2026

Reports

Reports is for line managers, auditors, training administrators and leads.

  • Readiness by role: how many are ready, due soon, expired, missing or pending review. Mandatory requirements only; recommended ones are shown on each learner.
  • Attendance and results: each session's booked, attended, no-show, passed and failed.
  • Course demand: sessions, places, taken, waiting and turned down for each course.

The cost of training

Training leads also see The cost of training:

  • Wages for training time: the gross wage cost of approved training attendance, from Payroll's finalised runs, corrections included.
  • Course fees: what sessions cost to put on.
  • The whole cost, by course: session fees, place prices, late cancellation charges and wages, with a total.

Wages and fees are kept apart. Auditors see no costs.

Training budgets

Training budgets shows each budget's amount, what is committed and spent, and what is left. To add one, choose Set a budget and fill in the Name, Cost centre (from HR, by its roles), Year and Amount.

A learning request for a priced course is approved against the budget for its role's cost centre that year. It is refused if there is no budget, or not enough left.
