If your role lets you manage the hierarchy, a cog (Manage hierarchy) appears beside Workspace in the menu. It opens Hierarchy.
Add to the hierarchy
- Add top-level adds a node at the top, usually a department.
- On a node's row, Add child (the plus) adds a node below it. Type a name, choose its kind, and choose Add.
- The bin (Delete) moves the node, and everything inside it, to Trash.
Each new department gets two roles of its own: Department Admin and Department User.
Templates
A template is a project's board groups and starter items, ready to reuse.
- Save as template on a node's row saves its groups and items as a template.
- Apply a template here on a row adds a template's groups and items to that node.
In Administration, Templates lists them all:
- New template starts an empty one. In Edit template, give it a Name and Description, add Board groups and Starter items (with sub-tasks if you like), and choose Save template.
- Apply to a container opens Use template. Choose Apply into a container and the node, then Apply template. Or choose Create new project, give the Project name and where to Place under, then Create project.
In the sandbox, try the templates Infrastructure rollout and Software selection.
