Projects

Projects, boards, Kanban and timelines for teams, with templates, notifications, retention rules and an audit trail, all behind the Core front door.

Questions and answers

Why can't I see a department or project I know exists?

You see the departments your roles cover, and your own workspace. Ask that department's administrator to give you one of its roles. Archived projects are under Archived, Projects, not in the hierarchy.

What is the difference between Projects and Project Tracker?

Projects is where teams plan and do the work: boards of tasks, risks and bugs, dependencies, timelines and workflows. Project Tracker is a separate applet that follows a portfolio of projects through its phases and gates. When a project here is linked to one in Project Tracker, All Items shows a banner, On the board:, with its phase and status, and Open in the tracker takes you there.

Why can't I change this item?

Usually one of three things. The project is closed, so it is read-only until someone reopens it; a red banner says so. The item's workflow does not allow that change, or locks that field at this stage; the message says what is wrong. Or your role lets you read the department but not change it.

Is the data in the sandbox real?

No. The sandbox's people, departments, projects and items are fictional, and they are reset every night. Try anything you like.
