Administration shows the parts your role allows.
Users
- Add person: their email and display name, so their roles are ready before their first visit. There are no passwords: people sign in at the front door.
- Roles (the person icon on a row) shows someone's roles. Type in + add role: type its name… to add one, or use a role's cross to remove it.
- Disable stops someone using Projects; Enable lets them back.
- Delete, for administrators, removes a person.
Whether someone is an Administrator comes from the front door, not from here.
Roles
Roles lists every role, how many permissions it has, and whether it is active.
- New role: give it a Name, a Description, its Permissions, and the departments it can see. Choosing no departments means all of them. Then choose Save.
- Built-in roles are marked system and cannot be changed. Clone to a custom role copies one so you can change the copy.
- Edit, Clone and Delete work on your own roles.
You cannot give a permission you do not hold yourself, and nobody can make anyone an administrator here.
Audit log
Audit log lists who changed what, and when: When, Action, Summary and By.
Appearance
Theme, text size, chart colours and Projects' own settings (hierarchy colours and Kanban density) are chosen by each person at the front door. Open Appearance goes there.
