Each role changes on its own. Changing one never changes the person's other roles.
Change the terms
- On the person's page, find the role and choose Change terms.
- Set From: today or later.
- Change the Manager of this role, Deputy manager (optional), Contracted hours a week, Location, Cost centre or Working pattern.
- Choose Change.
The current terms carry on until that date. A change for a later date shows on the role as New terms from that date, with Withdraw until it begins.
Agree new pay
- On the role, choose New pay agreement.
- Set From (today or later), the Basis, Amount, Paid and Pay policy.
- Choose Agree.
The agreement before it ends the day before. Only Payroll is told; Training never sees pay.
Propose a pay change
Use a proposal when a second person should approve the change, or when it must start in the past.
- On the role, choose Propose a pay change.
- Fill in the pay as above, and Why.
- Choose Propose.
Nothing changes until someone else who approves pay, an HR administrator or the HR lead, approves it. A role can have only one proposal waiting. To take yours back, open Propose a pay change again and choose Withdraw beside it under Earlier proposals.
Approve a pay change
Proposals waiting for you are in Inbox under Pay changes to approve, with the pay now and the pay proposed. Choose Approve or Reject. Rejecting asks why, and the person who proposed it sees your answer. You never approve your own proposal.
Once approved, the agreement is made and Payroll is told. A change that starts in the past is marked backdated, and Payroll pays the difference for the time it has already paid.
