Static codes: links, text, email, phone, Wi-Fi and contact cards

Codes that hold their content directly, and what that means once they are printed.

Updated 31 October 2026

Choose New code, then one of the static types:

TypeWhat a phone does with it
Static linkOpens the web address held in the code
TextShows a short piece of text
EmailOpens a new email to an address, with an optional subject and message
Phone numberOffers to call the number
Wi-FiJoins a Wi-Fi network
Contact cardOffers to save a contact

Fill in its fields and choose the required Classification values: a static code works as soon as it is made, so it needs them now. Then choose Create the code.

What static means

  • It works wherever it is printed, without the service.
  • It can never be changed once printed. Change the content makes a new image; copies already printed keep the old content.
  • Its scans cannot be counted, so it has no analytics.
  • It cannot be paused or scheduled. Archiving it only hides it from the list.

Contact cards make dense codes that need printing larger. A dynamic code that points at a contact page on your website stays small and can be updated.
