Questions and answers
Why can't I see an item on the till?
Each item lists the selling groups allowed to sell it, and the catalogue shows only what your group may sell. A note under the catalogue says how many items are not available to your group. An item may also have been withdrawn. Ask an administrator to add it to your group or reinstate it.
Can I delete or edit a sale?
No. Financial records are never edited or deleted, by anyone. While the session is open, void the sale; after that, give a refund. Both are new documents linked to the original, so the receipt numbers stay unbroken.
Does the till take card payments?
No. It records them. Take the payment on your card terminal and type the terminal's reference if you like; the till never stores a card number. Card money never enters the lock box.
Is an emailed receipt actually sent?
Not yet. Email receipt records the receipt as issued to that address, but no mail service is connected, so nothing is sent. Use Print A4 if the customer needs a copy now.
Is the data in the sandbox real?
No. The sandbox's people, customers, products and six weeks of trading are fictional, and they are reset every night. Reset demo data, at the foot of the menu, rebuilds them straight away. Try anything you like.
